The work of Argentine artist and designer Laura Voskian (b.1988) stands out for its marked multidisciplinary character. Her work methodology brings together characteristics of visual and spatial research, both in its creative development and in its documentation. In her work she integrates drawing, sculpture and the use of elements from nature, which become mechanisms that Voskian uses for the first sketches of an idea, and at the time of presenting the results in the exhibition, she shows a deep attraction to the contemplative. Her method seems an attempt to treasure the minimum through the accumulation of notes in a logbook about her explorations of the strange and the beautiful. Voskian performs an exercise similar to the creation of a cabinet of curiosities, where she expresses her personal vision on the transcendence of the inconsequential.
Her first solo exhibition, "Some dust in the sun, some mud when it rains”, presented in June 2018 at Galería Cero in Madrid, was selected as a finalist for portfolio review at ViPhotoFest'18, she participated in Hybrid Art Festival 2020 and FAUNA 2022 festival, Buenos Aires, Argentina. With her latest project, "At the exact moment, or very close to what is indicated as the end", she was selected for the portfolio review Full Contact Scan Tarragona 2022 and Baffest'22; the Itaú Visual Arts Award, Google Arts&Culture; she is a finalist with an exhibition at the BFoto festival and for the XIII Photo iila award in Rome, Italy.
